Insurance Experts Network, Inc. (“IXN Tech”, “we” or “us”) takes your privacy seriously. Please read this Privacy Policy, which describes the types of information we collect through ixn.tech (the “Site”) or the IXN Mobile App, and how we use that information.

Overview

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the terms of the Site’s/Mobile App’s Terms of Service. This Privacy Policy covers IXN Tech’s treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”), Personal Information and other information about third parties that you provide on or through the Site/Mobile App (“Third Party Information”) and other non-personally identifiable information, including information that we gather when you access the Site/Mobile App and when you register to receive services from IXN Tech (the “Services”). By visiting the Site/Mobile App or using the Services, you expressly acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy and consent to our use and disclosure of your Personal Information, Third Party Information and other non-personally identifiable information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site/Mobile App or the Services. Information We Collect

If you choose to use the Site/Mobile App or the Services, we may require you to provide contact and identity information, billing information, licensing information, user names, passwords and other Personal Information as indicated on the Site/Mobile App. Once you register on the Site/Mobile App, you are no longer anonymous to us. The information that we gather from you through the Site/Mobile App enables us to provide, maintain and improve the Site/Mobile App and the Services, personalize your experience, process your requests, and process the requests of others, and includes the following information:

• Personal Information that you provide to us or otherwise disclose or post in connection with the Site/Mobile App or the Services, including the following:
  • Your name, social security number, date of birth, address, email address, and other basic contact information;
  • Information relating to your insurance license, including your producer license number;
  • Your preferences, content, mobile device information, and credit card or other billing information;
  • Discussion board posts, including photographs, videos and other content; and
  • Communications and other messages, including correspondence between IXN Tech and you.
• Third Party Information that you provide to us or otherwise disclose or post in connection with the Site/Mobile App or the Services, including the following:
  • Third party names, social security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, email addresses, and other basic contact information;
  • Third party health, insurance and other sensitive information;
  • Third party preferences, content, mobile device information, and credit card or other billing information;
  • Third party account numbers, executed legal documents and insurance forms;
  • Communications and other messages, including correspondence between the third party and you; and
  • Other sensitive information relating to third parties.
• Non-personally identifiable information that we gather on the Site/Mobile App, including your location; IP address; Internet browser; pages you view, your location on the Site/Mobile App; pages, links and other items that you click on the Site/Mobile App; computer sign-on data; statistics on page views; errors that occur while you are on the Site/Mobile App; traffic to and from the Site/Mobile App and individual pages on the Site/Mobile App and data that we may collect through cookies or other means. You can take steps to disable cookies on your browser. However, this may affect your ability to use the Site/Mobile App because some features of the Site/Mobile App may only be available through the use of a cookie. For example, we may use cookies to remind us who you are and to enable us to access your account information so that you do not have to reenter it. By disabling cookies on your browser, you may be required to re-enter your information more often.
• General information regarding the Services you have registered to receive.

Our Use and Disclosure of Your Information

We may use your Personal Information to:

• provide the Services and products;
• resolve disputes, calculate and collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;
• verify users’ identities and the information users provide;
• encourage a safe online experience and enforce our policies;
• customize users’ experience, analyze usage of the Site/Mobile App, improve and measure interest in our Services, and inform users about Services, products and updates;
• provide users with information that may affect their use of the Site/Mobile App, the Services and products;
• communicate marketing and promotional offers to our users;
• provide customer service; and
• perform certain other business activities.

During the course of our business, we may use your Personal Information to deliver information to you that is targeted to your interests. Upon receipt of the first communication of this type, you will have the opportunity to opt-out of future communications by clicking on unsubscribe link or by following unsubscribe instructions described within the communication. If you do not want to receive email or other communications from us, you can also contact us at [email protected]. However, as part of your registration for the Services, you may receive certain communications from IXN Tech, such as administrative announcements and customer service messages regarding the Services and products, and you will not be able to opt out of receiving such communications. If you order products or services through the Site/Mobile App from a third party, we and/or the third party may use Personal Information to contact you in an effort to facilitate delivery of the products or services, and to collect payment for the products or services, and you will not be able to opt out of receiving such communications.

From time to time, we may implement solutions designed to more efficiently capture your communications preferences. In any such event, we will strive to reflect any previously stated communicated preferences within such solutions.

We do not sell or rent your Personal Information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share and you hereby consent to our sharing of Personal Information with the following:

• Corporate affiliates to help coordinate the Services or products we provide to you, enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements and to promote trust and safety.
• Service providers and other third parties who help with our business operations, assist in the delivery of the Services and assist in the delivery of other products and services to our users. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following: maintaining servers, sending email, removing repetitive information from user lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing payments, reviewing content and providing customer service. Unless we tell you differently, such service providers and other companies and people do not have any right to use Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us with our business operations, delivery of the Services and/or delivery of other products and services to our users.
• Third parties who help with advertising and marketing to provide offers that may be of interest to you. Unless we tell you differently, such third parties do not have any right to use Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us with our marketing efforts to provide offers to our users.
• A Reseller that your account is associated with. Your account may be associated with a Reseller if you created your account through Reseller products or web pages, if you used a promotional code provided by the Reseller, or if you elected to join a Reseller’s account. You may choose to disassociate your account from a Reseller using the account pages; however, any Reseller products or services provided to you may be discontinued if you do. When your account is associated with a Reseller, that Reseller will be able to access your IXN Tech products to provide help and support to you. You may opt out of this feature by changing your account settings, or by changing the settings on your individual products.
• Other IXN Tech customers as necessary to provide you with the Services that are under their control. For example, if you create an account in or access an IXN Tech Service, such as the Agent Website Portal or Custom Branded Mobile App, that is under the control of another IXN Tech customer, regardless of whether or not you are aware that these Services are provided by IXN Tech.
• Websites or apps that utilize IXN Tech Single Sign On (SSO). The first time you use IXN Tech SSO for a website/app, you will be asked for consent to release certain information to the website/app. The information released depends on what the website/app asks for in its request. You will not be asked to provide consent in subsequent requests unless the website/app asks for more information than you have previously given consent to. You may withdraw your consent at any time through IXN Tech’s web portal.
• Third parties if we believe that disclosure is advisable or necessary to comply with the law, to enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of IXN Tech, our employees, our users or others. This may include exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
• Entities who acquire us or assets from us. In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information, including your Personal Information, is typically one of the business assets that are transferred. Moreover, if IXN Tech, all of our assets or the Site/Mobile App were acquired, or in the unlikely event that IXN Tech goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information, including your Personal Information, would be one of the assets that is transferred to or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of IXN Tech, our assets or the Site/Mobile App may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
• Persons or entities with whom you consent to have your Personal Information shared. For instance, when you request information, Services or products from us, from our affiliates or a third party through us, or when you post information to the Site/Mobile App, you provide your consent for us to share that information with others. Please note that whenever you post information on or through the Site/Mobile App, or when you click on links to third party sites and services through the Site/Mobile App or the Services, you are giving us your consent to share that information with third parties.
• Other users of the Site/Mobile App. Some information about you, your account on the Site/Mobile App, your account activity and, if applicable, you and your products and services will be provided to or otherwise accessible by other users of the Site/Mobile App. This may include the date you last logged into your account, pages that you have visited, your location, your preferences and other information that you choose to make public. Your user name, but not your email address, may be displayed to other users of the Site/Mobile App when you engage in certain activities or indicate certain preferences on the Site/Mobile App. Other users may be able to contact you, and you may be able to contact other users, through the Site/Mobile App.

In the course of advertising, we may use various advertising platforms to present offers that may be of interest to you. To track the effectiveness of such advertising, we may use tracking technology, including third party tracking pixels, cookies, and web beacons. We may also gather data relating to your use of the Site/Mobile App and Services. Tracking data may be linked to your Personal Information. Data gained from tracking is used internally to choose what to advertise and to improve our products, Services, and the Site/Mobile App. If you wish to not be tracked in this manner, do not visit or use the Site/Mobile App or Services.

We may collect, analyze, use and disclose to third parties aggregate non-personally identifiable information, including information relating to use of the Site/Mobile App and the Services. This may include information gathered during or relating to your use of the Site/Mobile App and the Services. For example, aggregated, non-personally identifiable Third Party Information may be disclosed to actuaries to help them identify, create and provide better insurance products and services. Any such information disclosed will be in the form of aggregate data (such as overall patterns or demographic reports) that does not personally identify you or any third party, except as described herein.

Third Party Websites & User Files

Emails from IXN Tech or its business partners, and the Site/Mobile App itself, may contain links to other Internet websites, including sites that may or may not be owned or operated by IXN Tech. You may also be able to access data, content, code, files or other material in any form that users post to the Site/Mobile App (“User Files”) on or through the Site/Mobile App. Additionally, whenever you voluntarily disclose Personal Information, Third Party Information or any other information in public areas of the Site/Mobile App (e.g., message boards and forums), that information can be collected and used by others. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites, User Files and information disclosed by you in public areas of the Site/Mobile App, including the use of any information collected when email recipients or the Site’s/Mobile App’s visitors click through links to those sites or click on or download User Files. If you visit such websites or use User Files, we encourage you to become familiar with the applicable privacy practices and any terms of use.

Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Your Personal Information

If you are registered to receive Services, you can access, review and modify your personal information at any time by logging into your account on the Site/Mobile App. Please note, however, that we may maintain a copy of the unmodified information in our records.

If You post messages using the Site’s/Mobile App’s community discussion boards or other message areas that may be made available on the Site/Mobile App, it will not be possible to later edit or delete those messages.

You may contact us at [email protected] to review any Personal Information we store about you that is not available on the Site/Mobile App. There may be a charge associated with such requests.

We may delete Personal Information when we no longer need it for the purposes we described earlier. However, any information that you have made public may continue to be displayed unless you remove it. Additionally, We retain Personal Information as permitted by law to resolve disputes and enforce our policies.

Security

To prevent unauthorized access, promote data security, and encourage appropriate use of information, we use a variety of tools (encryption technologies, passwords, physical and electronic security, procedural safeguards) to assist in the protection of your information. However, “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet, so we make no guarantees. Third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications and you should not expect that your Personal Information will remain private. Additionally, it is your responsibility to keep your account and Personal Information safe and secure by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

IXN Mobile Account Self-Destruction

The IXN mobile app provides the option to deactivate your agency account at any time, including the removal of your account information. Once deactivated, your account will be deleted immediately, preventing further login access. You have two options to consider in this regard.

• In-app delete account feature
• Third-party IXN website

(i) In-app delete account feature

• step 1: Go to Profile Screen and scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the “Delete Account” option.
• step 2: Click on the “Delete Account” button. Then, a delete account popup will appear.
• step 3: Click on ‘Ok’, The account will be deleted and moved to the login screen.

(ii) Third-party IXN website

• step 1: Visit the link: https://app.ixn.io.
• step 2: Enter your mobile login email address and then click the verify button.
• step 3: Once the email address is verified, the agency list will be displayed.
• step 4: Choose your agency and click the submit button; an email with a confirmation delete link will be sent to the login address.
• step 5: Find the confirmation delete link email, go into it, and click the “Confirm Delete” link. It will redirect to another website.
• step 6: Click the ‘Yes, Delete My Agency’ button; then, a delete confirmation window will appear.
• step 7: Inside the window, click the ‘Yes, Delete’ button. Afterward, the account will be deleted.

Policy Toward Children

IXN Tech is concerned about the safety and privacy of children who use the Internet. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we will never knowingly request Personal Information from anyone less than 13 years of age without prior verifiable parental consent. If you become aware that your child under 13 years of age has provided us with Personal Information without prior verifiable parental consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will use our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our files.

Notification of Changes

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the amended terms on the Site/Mobile App. In the event of amendment, all terms shall become effective immediately upon posting to the Site/Mobile App.
