LinkedIn can be a useful tool for finding and connecting with prospective clients. Creating your own LinkedIn company page gives more exposure and visibility to your business, products or services. You start with a personal LinkedIn profile and then move to a business profile. Today we are going to focus on the business profile and help you get started. Below you will find a 9 step guide for creating your business profile.

How to create a LinkedIn business page

Creating a linkedin business page

 

  1. To get started with creating your business page go to the LinkedIn homepage click on the Interests tab, then Companies.

  2. On the right hand side you will see the Create a Company Page section. In that section click on the yellow Create button.

  3. You will then be asked to choose your company name and email address, be sure to pick something your clients will be able to associate with you.

  4. A confirmation email will be sent to the email you provided. Go to that email and follow the instructions; which will take you to a new link.

  5. You will be asked to sign into your personal LinkedIn account. Log in and let’s get started with the meat of your profile.

  6. Now that you have created your page it’s time to customize it. Start by adding the people you want to administer your page. (You must be connected to them already in order to add them)

  7. In the right hand column you can now select your business type, size, URL (website address), industry, operating status and year founded.

  8. Now it is time to upload your logo and company image. This will give your page brand recognition making it easy to point out and making it memorable.

  9. Once you are done click publish on the top right corner of the screen and be sure to keep an eye on the follower insights which can be found in the drop down next to the blue edit button.
